आईआईटी गुवाहाटी में राजभाषा हेतु कंप्यूटर-सहायित अनुवाद पर कार्यशाला का आयोजन

भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (आईआईटी) गुवाहाटी के राजभाषा प्रकोष्ठ द्वारा 30 जून 2026 को "कार्यालयीन अनुवाद में कंप्यूटिंग टूल्स की भूमिका" विषय पर एक राजभाषा कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यशाला के मुख्य वक्ता भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, खड़गपुर के वरिष्ठ हिन्दी अधिकारी डॉ. राजीव कुमार रावत थे। इस कार्यशाला में संस्थान के कुल 68 कर्मचारियों ने सहभागिता की।

अपने व्याख्यान एवं सजीव प्रदर्शन के माध्यम से डॉ. रावत ने प्रतिभागियों को कंप्यूटर पर सरल एवं प्रभावी हिंदी टंकण की विभिन्न तकनीकों से परिचित कराया। उन्होंने "भारती बहुभाषी अनुवाद सारथी" मंच का परिचय देते हुए उसके व्यावहारिक उपयोग का प्रदर्शन किया तथा बताया कि इसके माध्यम से सरल, तीव्र एवं उच्च-गुणवत्ता वाले अनुवाद तैयार किए जा सकते हैं। 

कार्यशाला के दौरान प्रतिभागियों ने हिन्दी कंप्यूटिंग तथा आधुनिक अनुवाद उपकरणों के प्रभावी उपयोग से संबंधित महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्राप्त की। संवादात्मक सत्र में प्रतिभागियों ने अपनी जिज्ञासाओं का समाधान किया तथा राजकीय एवं संस्थागत कार्यों में प्रौद्योगिकी-सहायित अनुवाद की उपयोगिता को बेहतर ढंग से समझा। 

यह कार्यशाला अत्यंत ज्ञानवर्धक एवं उपयोगी सिद्ध हुई। इसके माध्यम से कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिन्दी के प्रगामी प्रयोग को प्रोत्साहन मिला तथा प्रौद्योगिकी-सहायित अनुवाद उपकरणों एवं पद्धतियों के प्रभावी उपयोग के प्रति प्रतिभागियों में जागरूकता और उत्साह का विकास हुआ। 

डॉ. राजीव कुमार रावत राजभाषा हिन्दी के क्षेत्र के प्रतिष्ठित विशेषज्ञ हैं। उन्होंने शासन-प्रशासन में सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग तथा आत्मनिर्भर भारत की परिकल्पना के अनुरूप भारतीय भाषाओं के संवर्धन में उल्लेखनीय योगदान दिया है। हिन्दी–अंग्रेज़ी एवं अंग्रेज़ी–हिन्दी अनुवाद, मशीन अनुवाद तथा हिन्दी कंप्यूटिंग प्रौद्योगिकियों के क्षेत्र में उनकी विशेष विशेषज्ञता है। वे एक प्रतिष्ठित लेखक, कवि एवं उपन्यासकार भी हैं। 

कार्यशाला में राजभाषा हिन्दी के क्षेत्र के वरिष्ठ विद्वान एवं विशिष्ट विशेषज्ञ श्री चन्द्र गोपाल शर्मा की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति भी रही। कार्यक्रम में आईआईटी गुवाहाटी के कार्यालय, संकायाध्यक्ष, प्रशासन के अनुभागाध्यक्ष एवं उप कुलसचिव भी उपस्थित रहे। 

IIT Guwahati Organises Workshop on Computer-Assisted Translation for Official Language 

The Official Language Cell, IIT Guwahati, organised a Rajbhasha Workshop on 30 June 2026 titled "The Role of Computing Tools in Official Translation."  Dr. Rajeev Kumar Rawat, Senior Hindi Officer at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, was the keynote speaker.

The Rajbhasha Workshop on 30 June 2026 on the Role of Computing Tools in Official Translation, organised by the Hindi Language Cell, was attended by 68 staff members of the Institute.

As the keynote speaker, Dr. Rawat familiarised the participants with various techniques for easy and effective Hindi typing on computers through his lecture and live demonstrations. Dr Rawat also introduced participants to the “Bharati Bahubhashi Anuwaad Sarathi” platform and demonstrated its practical application for producing simple, fast, and high-quality translations. 

During the workshop, the participants gained valuable insights into Hindi computing and the effective use of modern translation tools. The interactive session enabled them to clarify their queries and develop a better understanding of technology-assisted translation in official work. 

The workshop was informative and beneficial. It contributed significantly to the effective use of Hindi in official work and encouraged the adoption of technology-assisted translation practices. 

Dr. Rawat is an expert in the use of Hindi as the Official Language. He has worked extensively on the use of information technology for government administration and has promoted the role of Indian languages in the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He is an expert in translation and has worked on Hindi–English and English–Hindi translation, machine translation, and Hindi computing technologies. He is also an author, poet, and novelist.

The workshop was also graced by the presence of Shri Chandra Gopal Sharma, a distinguished scholar with extensive experience and significant contributions in the field of Hindi as the Official Language. The Head of Section and Deputy Registrar (Office of the Dean of Administration, IIT Guwahati) was also present at the workshop.
