IIT Guwahati Faculty Represent Guwahati Chapter at IEEE IES Meetings in Japan

Dr. Ramesh Kumar Sonkar, Chair of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Guwahati Chapter, participated in the IEEE IES Region 10 Chapter Chairs Meeting and the IEEE IES Administrative Committee (AdCom) Meeting held in Nagoya, Japan, during 26–27 June 2026. The meetings provided a platform to discuss chapter activities, strategic initiatives, and future directions for promoting IEEE IES programs across Region 10. 

Dr. Chandan Kumar, IEEE IES AdCom Member, also attended the IEEE IES AdCom Meeting, contributing to discussions on the Society’s governance, technical activities, and global initiatives. The participation of representatives from the Guwahati Chapter strengthened its engagement with the international IEEE IES community and fostered opportunities for future collaborations.
